Tanker questions
What is the difference between CPP and DPP?
Clean petroleum products (CPP) are light refined products such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and naphtha. Dirty petroleum products (DPP) are heavier, such as fuel oil and crude. They usually travel on different tankers, because residues of dirty cargo would contaminate clean products.
What is demurrage?
Demurrage is the charge payable to the ship owner when loading or discharge takes longer than the agreed laytime. We help you plan terminals and documents to keep it to a minimum.
Can I ship a smaller quantity by tanker?
Yes, as a part cargo when a suitable vessel is available on your route. For smaller lots, ISO tanks or drums are often the better choice.
